Tuxbury Farm Equestrian Center has long held a tradition of quality care and excellent programs under the shelter of a safe, relaxed, family oriented environment. Since 1993 it has been our honor to serve the Lowcountry's passion for horses by offering an exceptional equestrian experience to both the casual and experienced rider.
Tuxbury Farm is located off Highway 41, north of Mt. Pleasant, SC, on the scenic Wando River. The 25 acre equestrian center offers ample pasture for the stall or pasture boarded horse and a variety of services for the rider. Our services include hunter jumper riding instruction from beginner to experienced, showing opportunities, clinics, farm family picnics and summer camp programs. In addition, we offer a lighted, show regulation size jumping arena, a neighborhood trail and nearby access to the Francis Marion National Forest.
At Tuxbury, it's all about horses and the people who love them. It’s our mission to continue to provide the facility and personal support that provides our clients with a unique and satisfying equine experience. We invite you to enjoy our website and become acquainted with the Tuxbury tradition and the people and horses that make it so special. About our Instructor......
Natasha “Tash” Vitkovic has been the trainer at Tuxbury Farm for the past year and a half. Originally from the Washington, DC area, Tash grew up showing on the Local and National Circuits. As a “Junior” some of her accomplishments included: competing in the Stateline Tack National Medal Finals, the USEF National Medal Finals, the World Equitation Weekend at Capital Challenge, and many State Medal Finals in-between… Having a strong “junior career” earned her a spot on the Hollins University Equestrian team from 1996-2000, where she earned her B.A degree in Communications. During her college years and then after, Tash worked on the National Horse Show Circuit for many top hunter/ jumper professionals such as Bill Ellis, Stacy Schaeffer, Tommy Serio, Rachel, and Oliver Kennedy. She managed their horse’s care, the preparation, the show records, and the transportation for these horses… which in return helped these professionals earn “TOP” year-end awards and ribbons at major shows such as “Kentucky”, “Devon”, “Capital Challenge,” “Harrisburg,” and “Washington.” Tash is thrilled to be a part of the Tuxbury culture and lesson program. She especially enjoys teaching the students, being a positive role-model, and encouraging them to chase their dreams.
